I've installed Tizen Studio but everytime I try to open it, I get an error and in the log there's this:

Hi,

Check out the link https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download/installing-tizen-studio/prerequisites

You must install Java Development Kit (JDK) 8 to use the Tizen Studio. Do not install OpenJDK.

Download the JDK from the official Oracle Web site and follow the instructions to install the JDK.

Hope it will help you.

Hey guys, Im having the same problem, and I also checked the prerequisites. Can you confirme me please that it's not working with Mojave? If not, I don't know how to fix this. Also, I have Java Development Kit (JDK) 8.

Could somebody fix this?

Peter Le

I'm having the same issue, I have read the prerequisites and installed JDK 8 but it still does not work.

Any help will be appreciated.

Peter:

I found the solution! Check all the java versions you have on your mac. Delete all but leave the 8. Tizen runs with eclipse and eclipse only works with java 8. If you have more versions installed, I don't know why, it tries to work with the last version (in my case it was trying to work with Java 11). So I deleted all java versions and I only left Java 8. It worked.

Peter Le

Thank you Liz,  this solved my problem.

Hi, sorry for a very delayed response. Can you please try the latest Tizen Studio 3.7 available at https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download

There is no prerequisite for Java or setting any environment variable like Path or JAVA_HOME in this version of Tizen Studio. Java comes prebundled with this verison of Studio
