* Tizen Studio, Emulator RUN - EXTRA PACKAGE INSTALLATION FILED! Sap ... manualy...

I have  Tizen Studio v1 with last update:

after update and run Emulator S2 or S3 -

reciver ERROR massage popup :

"EXTRA PACKAGE INSTALLATION FILED! must install manualy . OK"

  ?

Hi,
Did you installed/updated all the packages from package manager?
In my case I have installed main SDK for different version and Extension SDK too, didn't found any error. 
please check the installed packages again.

I think, also i can completly reinstall windows os, and maybe also update bios )))))

   joke....

because I think is TizenStudio 1.0 interface problem, and I can't loose time ...  because after reinstall may be it problem come again ..

Q for SUPPORT : but realy seriously, where stored configuration of interface? maybe only reset it

Hello.

You can create 2.3.2 emaultor or 2.3.1 emulator.

In which version, did you face this installation failure?

I had found there were a problem only in the 2.3.2 emulator.

The patch version is prepared and about to release Wearable Extension 1.2.1 ( Currently it is 1.2.0 ).

 

If you are seeing this problem with 2.3.2 emulator, then please check the version of both Certificate Extension and Wearable Extension.

Hi,

For the 2.3.1 emulator problem, it will be resolved soon with Wearable Extenion 1.2.1 this week.

But I could not find the problem with 2.3.2 emulator.

Would you create new emulator for 2.3.2 again and check?

And please show the file list at "tizen-studio/platforms/tizen-2.3.2/wearable/emualtor-images/add-on/sap" in  your PC.

Can you try to install them manually? then we can find the problem exactly.

Push all files in sap dir to your 2.3.2 emulator and install them by rpm command.

Run only 2.3.2 emulator and please do these steps.

1. Go to sap dir in your PC.

2. sdb -e root on

3. sdb -e push *.rpm /opt/usr/media

4. sdb -e shell

5. cd /opt/usr/media

6. rpm -ivh {file name}.rpm

* do No.6 for each rpm and check when it fails with which rpm.

Finished, but error still coming in the same place and time after opened and loaded emulator bin

Do you mean that you could install all rpms to your 2.3.2 emulator without any problem?

It is really strange. Please run your 2.3.2 emulator only again and upload the related the log please.

log will be at  ~/tizen-studio-data/emulator/vms/s3/logs

yes, mean that.  log is huge  but wen run i'm not see errors and another bad message as i see... 

  let me know where i can see it and what I need to check?

in my case finaly resolved in this way:

In the log, I could find that only sap-1.7.28-0.i586.rpm was already installed and it causes the failure.

I think this rpm is different from the Wearable Extension 1.2.0, but 1.1.12. The problem is the rpm version of them is same.

I am curious why this old sap rpm is installed in your emulator vms.

I suggest that you reset the related envrionment. 

 1. Run the package manager and remove the wearable extension now you have installed.  

 2. Check the below directory. (It should not exist ! because you have removed it)

    tizen-studio/platforms/tizen-2.3.2/wearable/emulator-images/add-ons/sap

 3. Install Wearable Extension again using Package manager

 4. Run the emulator manager

 5. Delete the you have created one and create new one.

....

I am having a simmiral issue. I am trying run one of the samples (https://developer.samsung.com/galaxy-watch-develop/samples/companion/hello-message-net.html) with API 4.0. Running the emulator will popup the error message - Extra package installation is failed. sap must be installed MANUALLY!.
