Private push server
Samsung has some push servers for Tizen around on the internet. Is there a way to create your own Tizen push server for sending push messages to Tizen devices? I can't find any documentation or specifications online. We would like to do this to use Tizen watches in our local network that is not connected to the internet. One of the requirements of the project is that we should be able to send push messages to the watches. Thank you

Hi,

It seems that there is no available api which can change a configuration of push server. so I think that there is no way to use private push server.

Hi,
I do not know about how to create your own push server and I am not sure that it is possible. Regarding Tizen push service: https://developer.tizen.org/development/tutorials/native-application/messaging/push

Hi

   I do not understand why  a private push server is needed. If sending a push notification is what you want,

you can use the push service API that uses Tizen push servers. It supports Z1 and Z3. For gear S2, the binary

supporting the push service is being deployed. Also, you send develop an app using SDK rev 3 or later.

The samsung push servers unfortunatly only work when you're connected to the internet. Like I said in my original post, the devices should be used on a local network that is not connected to the internet (industrial environment).

I guess we'll have to look for a different OS then. Thank you for the replies!

You need for PUSH always to Server, your application server and the push server, and on all systems their I know, the Push-Server is provided by the System vendor (Android -> Google-Servers, iOS -> Apple Server, Tizen -> Samsung Servers, Windows -> Microsoft Servers) and u cant changed it ;)
