Emulator not booting on iMac

Hello,

I have issues with trying to run tizen tv emulator on iMac (macOS High Sierra 10.13.6). When I run the emulator it's just stuck at "Booting the kernel" black screen.

From some previous experience I assume that there is some problem with CPU VT, because I can't turn CPU VT on in emulator configuration.

I've checked if VMX is there with  sysctl -a | grep machdep.cpu.features and it's present.

Not sure what to do, or if there is any other way to run emulator without CPU VT?

Screenshot with iMac specifications and emulator attached.

Same issue here. Tizen sucks. No support on this whatsoever.

Hi,

I think the above issue can be due to Intel HAXM not installed on Mac.

Can you try to install the same as described in this guide https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download/installing-tizen-studio/hardware-accelerated-execution-manager

Please let me know if the above solves the emulator issue.

Thanks and Regards

Karthik

Hi Karthik,

I tried installing Intel HAXM but still no change. The emulator is stuck on "Booting the Kernel"

Any other Ideas that could fix the issues?

I found a solution in another Post.

In the Emulator Manager click Edit then go to HW Support and enable de CPU VT
