What changes with HWAccel ON ?

Hi,

Does somebody knows precisely what changes once the hardware acceleration is enabled ?

I'm currently having an issue with my textures when I'm enabling it inside my manifest.
I would like to know if it's a side effect of something else, or if it is linked somehow.

Some details : I'm using a ref device PQ under 2.1, and the mali driver for 2.1 is installed.

I'm investigating to see clearely what's happening with my textures to give you more informations.

When the application has various UI controls, which are sequentially rendered for each frame according to their hierarchy, a rendering bottleneck can appear. HW acceleration merges the UI controls with GPU power and allows CPU to be used for other tasks, resulting in better UI rendering and higher CPU efficiency. This field is by default set to System Default. This means that the system default defined in settings is followed. To explicitly enable HW acceleration, set the value to On.
