Gear Fit 2 Support

Is there yet SDK support for the Gear Fit 2 and if yes does the store officially accept Gear Fit 2 applications?

 

Messages posted here prior to September 2016 would have me think the store doesn't accept Gear Fit apps but after that time it seems the tone of conversations around the Fit 2 has changed. Also when looking in the store earlier today I saw that the app submission process recognizes the existence of the Gear Fit 2. I don't know if that means that support is here yet. 

Looking at the Fit 2 I can't help but notice the similarities it has with the Gear S. Would expectations from developing for the Gear S carry over to the Fit 2?

Hello,

Yes, you're right about "the app submission process recognizes the existence of the Gear Fit 2" but a little bit partially. Samsung Seller office allows you to upload binary for Gear Fit2  but only for the watch faces made using Gear Watch Designer (GWD). You can develop apps for Gear Fit2 using Tizen Studio or SDK but can't upload those to store till now.
