Cannot initialize HAX.

My emulator gives following error.

Cannot initialize HAX.
Failed to open the HAX device. It might not be installed.
Please try to install the latest Tizen HAX driver, again.

Can't you make a emulator where HAXM is optional ? Like other android emulators. HAXM is good, but it should be optional.

Check the following link for HAX installation. Every steps are described nicely here.

In my guess, your PC has some problems on installation process of HAXM.

Please refer Mango Bar's comment, and if you meet some problems, please reply about specific error information on this topic. And official HAXM installer is also recommendable : https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager

* As you can see, Tizen platform can not be emulated without HAXM currently.

I couldn't install the HAXM driver because Hyper-V was activated. I need Hyper-V, so I cannot just uninstall it, but this is an options to select Hyper-V on/off at boot time: (google hanselman switch easily between virtual box and hyper v) (external links are not permitted in this forum)

But after installing the HAXM driver and reinstalling the emulator it's still not usable, because it runs extremely slow. After several minutes of hard CPU work, I still only see a black screen on the emulator.

On the Mac it starts in a few seconds and seems to run smooth.

So it would be great if Samsung and Microsoft could work together to provide a Tizen emulator that runs on Hyper-V like the Android emulators in Visual Studio / Xamarin do. Or as a temporary solution, for those who've got a Mac, it would be great to be able to debug remotly from Visual Studio to an emulator running on a Mac with an easy setup like the Xamarin iOS agent.

Please refer this link to switch Hyper-V option : https://developer.tizen.org/development/preview/visual-studio-tools-tizen/prerequisites

And as I know, if the HAXM is installed and activated properly, black screen issue  is caused by old version of graphic driver. Would you check it after the update of your graphic driver?

Disabled Hyper-V

Hm.. it seems to be new problem. Would you create new post to handle the new problem? It would be very helpful to someone who suffer same problem in future :)
