How to change sound output to reciever instead of speaker

Hi All,

I am developing a Tizen Native application and it requires to play sound in reciever(i.e from where we listen the phone call) instead of main speaker.

I am not able to find any API which can change the current sound device. Please suggest, how can i change the sound output. and i am using Player functions to play mp3

Thanks

Hi Jasvinder,

I had same discussion when i was woking on FM Radio app. Although in 'samsung.tizenforum.com' and i got two answer's to it.

1. Why would anyone would like to do that.

2. Tizen doesnot povide any such api for public apps or this paty apps. This answe came fom samsung india employee.

So if you want to achieve ust like iOS one might have to Jailbreak Tizen OS probably.

My suggestion is to  mail to  dev@lists.tizen.org  to discuss with tizen community regarding this issue.

Hi Ashish,

Thanks for your reply,  I can not disclose exactly about what my application does, as i am making a POC (proof of concept) for some  idea.

But you may consider it as some walky talky application, where users want to talk over phone like a calling application.

If there is some work around that i can do to achieve this, please suggest.

Thanks

Hey Jasvinder,

Sorry As i have already mentioned 'no third party apps are allowed to do that'. At least currently.

But may be in future, like the LED(camera flash light api) there was no way earlier to change the intensity. I raised the query in samsung,ti..... forum. Late other developers too asked for the API. Now samsung has porvided the API to change the intensity. Mostly it is a part of new SDK to be released.

I wanted this same api that you have mentioned for my own app. Lets hope for the best.

I am also looking for reaching out to the(samsung ppl) equesting them since months, but am not able to find a right channel to reachout to them. If you are aware of it please reveal it here, it will help me you and all othe devs.

Cheers,

Aashish
