Bricking Samsung Z3 device. "Could not do normal boot"

Hello.

I've "bricked" my Samsung Z3 device. I have tried to flash a new firmware (tizen 3.0) and now I can't escape bootloader loop.

Every time I receive "Could not do normal boot" message.

The only thing I can receive from device it is a PIT file. Here is its content https://pastebin.com/m9x6JLgj

I have no idea what should I flash in that partitions.

Did anyone knows why this problem appears?

Is there any chance to receive more information from booting stage?

What content should be flashed to the BOOT partition? U-boot, kernel, anything else?

Will be glad for any help.

Thanks.

?

Maybe usefull if you give more details....

1.

Z3 is not usefull... because we have NO Crystal Ball if you mean:

TM1... or SM-Z300H or SM-Z300F

2.

What how and from where...

Commercial Z3 is dead since yearS...

IMHO you have taken TM1 Firmware...

TM1 stuff is experimental... maybe enough Bugs inside...

:)

3.

Odin or lthor or dd or????

How you wrote files to device???

According to your pastebin upload...

1.

IMHO it looks to me you have PIT from SM-Z300F... the "rusian" Demo Device... because nobody have it...

1 or 2 people outside R&D I saw in the last few years...

So you have to fight with Qualcomm stuff... TM1 and SM-Z300H is Spreadtrum...

I can NOT remember to see QC Firmware somewhere in public...

Only few SM-Z300F leaked...

Conclusion... wrong Firmware flashed to wrong device....

2.

I see Heimdall...

If I remember correct...

I've used Odin... with my SM-Z130H and SM-Z300H... because...

And for my RD-PQ lthor... and the 1 click Thor Version for Windows...

Conclusion 2...

If I am correct and you have really LTE SM-Z300F and your Download Mode is still working...

Flash SM-Z300F with Odin... use Windows PC...

To find CORRECT Firmware... use Google... as leaked and not supported by Samsung...

Hi Peter!

Thank you very much for the explanation.
I'm sorry for the lack of details provided I just was into despair :)

Seems that one letter changes everything.
You are absolutely right I have a Z300F model and now a lot of things become clear.

Of course I will try to flash Z300F firmware if I will find any.
Looks like all previously leaked ones are out-of-date.

Anyway, is there any chance to boot a custom kernel on my device?
I have tried to build and flash this kernel https://review.tizen.org/gerrit/#/admin/projects/profile/mobile/platform/kernel/linux-3.10-sc7730
As fas as Z300F has a different chipset there is no surprise that this kernel hadn't boot.

Will a right chipset kernel flashed to the BOOT partition boot fine?
Am I understand right that BOOT partition has to contain dzImage?

Shouldn't I build and flash u-boot or anything else?

Thank you for help!

I have limited time...

1.

AP_Z300FXXU1AOK9_usr.tar.md5
BL_Z300FXXU1AOK9_usr.tar.md5
CP_Z300FXXU1AOK7_REV00_CL2029786_QB4212485.tar.md5
CSC_Z300FOXE1AOK9_usr.tar.md5

Example for SM-Z300F Firmware... this leaked somewhere...

Old... if I remmeber correct some newer somewhere...

2.

If you have tooooooo much time.... look into Source...

http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=search&searchValue=SM-Z

As you can see... SM-Z300H Source allready removed...

Samsung killed whole Tizen Mobile series.... "few" monthS ago.... meanwhile yearS dead...

3.

My suggestion...

Find SM-Z300F Firmware... use Odin...

I can NOT give you Direct Link...

A because no time to search....

B because Samsung not allow... here... :)

Best Regards
