Need Help

I am handling the site which is having thousands of posts, and its developed in WordPress. I consistently receiving the complaints regarding overloading the server, whenever client searches some content in it. Please advice some solution,

Grant Milne.. I know it's a irrelevent post over here. But for your help I suggest you to use a wordpress plugin named "FullTextSearch". This plugin used index system for searching which works smoothly withou overloading the server. Visit fulltextsearch.org to get more information regarding this plugin.
