Creating a "Picture Off" feature for TV?

Is it possible to create a feature that would work like this:

1. Using a certain One Remote shortcut, let's say you press "Power" button for over 1 sec, or some other button, the screen turns off, but the media keeps playing.

(youtube, plex, mp3 from hdd, spotify)... So, basicly, you only get audio, the screen is completely off, but the TV is on ofcourse.

2. Pressing power button turns off TV naturally

3. Every other button brings screen back to life.

 

So, what do you think. Is it possible?

By the way, i see that you pointed me in the direction of Audio Control API, which I think I dont need.

What API controls Picture settings?

Do you think it is possible to do what I want?

I haven't faced any Web API for TV for Screen control. Yes, There is TVDisplayControl API, but it's for managing 3D effects. I was suggesting TVAudioControl API to look for functions that would force the audio stream to play while display is off. (If there is any)


 

Generally, What you're looking for is not a common scenario for a TV. So, I'm not pretty much confident about it, Hope You would find a way out .
