Samsung Smart TV - Lock screen or turn off TV remotely

I'm looking for a way to block the screen, maybe by displaying a full screen app that can't be minimized. If this is not possible, I want to know if there's a way to turn off the TV from an app . 

 

Can anyone point pe to the api's i can use to do this  ? Thanks .

As far as I'm concerned, Haven't seen any API function to turn the device off.

But, You may check this post on Samsung Developers Forum:
