Get Lat/Lon using built in GPS or WiFi

I've developer an app for my Gear Fit2 watch that displays my currnt Lat/Lon. (Gear Fit 2 has a bulit in GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.)

 navigator.geolocation.getCurrentPosition(successCallback, errorCallback, {maximumAge: 60000});

 

The apps works fine when watch is connected to phone via Bluetooth. However it doesn't work when bluetooth is off, even though GPS and WiFi are turned-on on the watch!

Any idea how to get app working without a connection to phone?

hi Rich Mabb, 

Scenario is different in terms of Gear S3. You can have a try with different device if available. 

In my S3 i saw three options (methods)in Location settings

  • GPS & Wireless 
  • Wireless Network 
  • GPS

If you have this type of settings, select the GPS option and try.
