SDB speed ridiculously slow

Hi,

 

We are trying to connect tizen with a device in Message Storage Mode. Message storage connection gives us a speed of around

50MB speed for file transfer. While we use SDB push or pull command to transfer or receive file from the device the speed is

ridiculously slow at about 5~7MB average.

We have used both USB 2.0 and 3.0 and both have shown the same results. Can you please provide me some pointers as why

Tizen SDB is so slow while transfering files

Hi,

I don't think that the speed 5~7 Mb is quite slow but, it could be slower than mass storage mode. Compare to mass storage mode, there is a big difference that SDB  sends packets to a device thorugh SDB server. SDB server is background process on your machine and that is one giant multiplexing loop whose purpose is to orchestrate the exchange of data between client tools and devices. That means  SDB server could be overhead and there is actually the potential for improvement for here.
