[Incentive] There is almost no chance for new app from May

Hi all fellows

Just from my point of view.

I checked 3 continuos days on tizen store TOP FREE app.

(even though this is NOT top 100 app, but this is highest percentive)

And I see that most of them are Feb, Mar, Apr(maybe) winner. more than 80% are old winner.

so What is the chancefor new app?

Even though I have some new idea.

But from the point of invesment, I decided not to coding it.

I'm agree with you.

Moreover ... the worst thing that happened recently - the top free from categories began to display at the top of the list not new applications but old ones. Thus, new applications are somewhere far below.

at May there are only 34 new apps. indeed it's hard to get in Top100.

but this is exactly the clever-plan of Samsung.

Samsung changed their algorithm such that no new apps will be featured in Top Free list or New Free list once that app gets 20k downloads in the first month. 

This helps Samsungs not give away any more 10k because to reach 20k most apps need  20-22 days and thereafter once it's stopped from being featured, it would get just 100-200 downloads a day and can't cross 40k downloads for that month.

This strategy works in Samsung's favor because any new app has 90% chance of winning 10k ( or getting more than 40k downloads) only in the first month of the launch. 

I have analyzed all of the above based on App Annie statistics and statistics for my own Tizen apps and other tizen apps in tizen store.
