We are currently using DASH streams (VoD and Live) protected with Widevine on Tizen TVs. We are able to playback streams fine mostly but observing that from time to time (once in a week or so) randomly the device runs into an error state where all DRM stream playback starts to fail with an error from the video element. The video element error code maps to MEDIA_ERR_DECODE, with an empty error message.
Once this happens, a restart of the application or the device does not sem to resolve the issue. But it magically go away in some time (sometime in few hours or the next day). We are puzzled by this behavior and are observing this on multiple Tizen 2021 models and 2018 models. We have notificed that when the device runs into this state, un-encrypted streams are playing fine and switching to PlayReady also seems to fix the issue. But we are not sure if the issue would re-occur with PlayReady in the future.
We are looking to understand the root-cause of this issue. Please let us know what info you would need to debug this further.
