JS remove() not work under Emulator 
var elem = document.getElementById("myDiv");
elem.remove();

elem.remove() not work under Emulator, under Simulator all OK.

Try to use following:

var element = document.getElementById("myDiv");
element.parentNode.removeChild(element);

or

$("#myDiv").remove();

Correct comment:

    var element = document.getElementById("myDiv");
    element.parentNode.removeChild(element);

or

    $("#myDiv").remove();
