How to launch UI builder?

Hello,

I have installed Tizen SDK 2.3.0 rev.2 today.

According to release notes it should support the UI Builder for native projects, but I can’t find it. How to launch the UI builder for my project?

Hi,

I can’t create UI builder project tool. According to help topic:

https://developer.tizen.org/documentation/mobile-native-app-programming/application-development-process/designing-application-ui-and-implementing-code/creating-application-uis-ui-builder

you need to switch to Tizen “Native UI Builder” perspective before create the UI Builder project. But I don’t observe such perspective. Only “Tizen Web UI Builder” and “Tizen Native” are available.

Hi

I don't see this file. What perspective is opened in your IDE?

Hi,

Strange. Probably this Builder only available for Linux version of the  SDK. I will try to install the SDK on Ubuntu tomorrow.

Hi,

Thank you for this screenshot. No, I don't. I only have first 3 items, but I don't have UI Builder Application on my Windows 7 64 PC. Will check on Ubuntu tomorrow.

I can confirm that Native UI Builder currently only available on Linux.

Right. I have just checked on my Ubuntu PC. The UI Builder is available. So, everybody who uses windows should wait for the next SDK release. I hope it will appear soon.

The UI Builder is the same as this "Dali" ? http://download.tizen.org/misc/media/conference2014/slides/tdc2014--tizen-3d-ui-dali.pdf

Hi all,

I have just installed Tizen SKD 2.3.0_Rev2 on Mac OS 10.8.5. The installation progress was sucessfull without any error.

However, there is NO UI Builder Application type when creating a new native project (in the Window menu, no UI builder perspective to switch to).

Do you have any solution or comment?

Thanks,

It's only available on Linux atm

Hi,

I guess that Samsung will include Native UI builder for windows in next release of SDK and they will release new SDK soon. Recently Samsung released new SDK by approximately two month intervals. so I'm expecting new SDK in April.
