Hi Wang,

afaik native apps are not supported on gear devices

In that case, How can i  do audio recorder in my app.

Because I find no web api about audio recorder.

Any ideas?

Many Thanks!

In Tizen 3.0 (expected June 2014), html5 API will be similar to native API for mobile SDK. But , I don't know if Gear API will be upgraded as well

Samsung cares bout HTML5 more than native for this reason. I think all devices expect mobile (gear, freezer, TV etc..) will be only html5 based. Apps and games will be easier to port. I believe tizen html5 games will be ported to be played on TV, cars etc,,,

Not so sure about that. All profiles will support native imo but Gear is an exception: linked to an Android phone for a lot of apps + Gear Fit which is not even a Tizen device.

I'm pretty sure TVs will support native games for instance = massive competitive advantage for Samsung.

It is only my guess. For example, in the last developer challenge they offered extra $50k for top 10 html5 apps and games..why?

why there is no Unity3d port so far? are they looking for one port for all profiles (mobile, TV etc..)... html5 ?

Tizen book for dummies was only about html5?

why in tizen 3.0, they will make html5 api equal to native's api?

There must be reasons why they are pushing and promoting html5 apps more than native!

After the bada failure, Tizen is a major play on the HTML5 ecosystem of course but native will be a very important differentiator.

forgot: It would have been better to have Qt as the default native tool right from the start: we wouldn't have the Jolla/Ubuntu fragmentations which are doomed to fail imo.

But that's the eternal NIH syndrome in the Linux world I guess ...

bada failed yes but you can't blame it only on c++. Android and WP were later forced to support NDK C++ for games. I developed bada since beta version. I followed its news everyday. I knew it was not doing well.

As a only native tizen developer, So far, I don't find a joy developing html5 tizen apps!

Thanks for the link. Multiscreen is good idea but I am not sure it is going to be important for gamers. I am not a gamer anyway!

Samsung SmartHome will work on both Tizen and Android .. I guess all these devices will be only html5 based.. don't you think so?

Who runs the MultiScreen SDK examples on TV, and how did you run it?  Thank you!
