Marco Buettner

Your wifi works? I flashed now 4 times and WiFi doesnt work all the time :/

I can connect to my home router and wifi icon appears on top bar. I have not tested it though. There is no browser.

I don't know if there is sdb command to test it

Marco Buettner

Some questions to analyze the problem

1.) Which Router do you use?

2.) Which encryption method and how long is your password? Do you use special symbols in your network phrase?

I wasnt able to establish a connection also to open WiFi :(

I use old router. non popular brand

I use WPA2 method and password only alphabets and numbers.. 15 characters

I don't use symbols any where

WPA2/PSK to be specific

Marco Buettner

Lucky guy... Which WiFi standard do u use? b,g,n?

It is old G router

I am no lucky, I don't need internet for my apps. They are related to offline books/photography/music. None of them uses the internet privileges ... Unlike your apps !

I am no lucky, all my apps are OSP bada framework. I need hell of work to recode them and can't even decide. Waiting for next SDK.

The odd thing, I have one OSP app on tizen store and it is working and few hundreds have downloaded it. I don't know why the other apps got suspended and this one is alive . I was surprised to get email from Indian user asking me about the app. I was not aware that is was working and available

Marco Buettner

I will try g-mode only on my router, maybe it works... :D

Most of my apps will also work without internet, I just need to change tizen-web-ui-framework to tau...

Yeah, the removing of OSP is very hard! I cannot understand why they do that and it was very short before the release of commercial device...

All my apps suspend (without 1, which use only jQuery instead tizen-webframework). Two was suspend by Samsung, the other by myself.

I hope Samsung will find a solution to make OSP compatible to tau.

The integration of OSP in tizen was a lucky move from Samsung to feature help migration from bada to tizen and now... LOL Samsung shot yourself. Former bada developer have now to start from scratch.

Here I can see 1 post from user with WiFi problems too...

Maybe next few days "we" can get more feedback... from more testers...

Best Regards

My problems so far:

1- No system apps. I need file browser and camera apps to be able to port my apps

2- RD-PQ device turn on automatically after I turn it off. I have to remove the battery to turn it off

3- I get crash message when I click on “About the device” in the settings

RD-PQ is smoother now and looks better than 2.2.1.

4- Screenshot command xwd is not working anymore. This is very important!!

This image is good only for some UI design, not good for porting all apps.

Marco Buettner

I missed also! :(

Marco Buettner

1.) Yeah some system apps will be nice for appControl-issues

2.) I will check it at my device

3.) Confirm

Łukasz Grabiec

I have just flashed. For me WiFi works (at least it is connected - cannot check if internet is available as there is not apps!)

Some basic apps must be presetned like Camera, Contacts, File Manager, Gallery, Audio, Internet etc.

I have app that opens images with Gallery, sounds with Audio and now my app does not work!

I found basic sample apps (file browser, camera, etc..) in the SDK (native apps samples) but they don't work,

Few apps work, other fail to install, rest fail to launch

File browser, piano, camera etc.. don't work

For sample native UI samples: I tried few and all of them work: email, clock, message bar etc..

Łukasz Grabiec

I try to innstall some examples from SDK and I have following:

Error code: FATAL_ERROR
Error message: Success
Command: /usr/bin/pkgcmd -q -i -t tpk -p /opt/usr/apps/tmp/org.tizen.calculator-1.0.0-arm.tpk
Management: Installation or uninstallation is not working temporarily.

processing result : FATAL_ERROR [61] failed

I have created vaild device profile and ceritifcate.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Luke

I got the same error msg for some apps like camera sample (Native app samples). Controls app (maybe the last one in the list) works here

Native UI samples: I tried 4 or 5 apps and all work

Łukasz Grabiec

I try only native apps. Still FATAL ERROR 61...

Kilim A

May be  you must correct tizen version in config file-Tizen

daniel kim

Hi,

I suggest you to check which profie is actived.

Window--> Preferences --> Tizen SDK --> Security Profiles

If your profile is activated properly, please right-click your device in the connection explorer and perform "permit to install applications".

But if you still have a same problem, I suggest you try to register your previous author certficate if you have.

I wish this will help you.

Łukasz Grabiec

Hi,

Thank you for your tip, but I have already done it and still no success.

I have checked auther certificate in SDK 2.2 for Wearable where works perfectly.

I don't think this is certificate problem - when I try to install TPK on Z1 via RTL I have popup saying that binary format is not valid.

I have dobule checked that tizen version is set to 2.3 in manifest. I compile for ARMv7-a and tried both toolchains GCC and LLVM.

daniel kim

Hi,

Could you tell me which sample of SDK was tried?

Regards,

Łukasz Grabiec

Hi

Calculator

daniel kim

Hi,

I couldn't have a FATAL ERROR to install same sample to Z1 device on Tizen SDK 2.3 Rev2. but could observe "file format is invalid" message on it.

So I suggest to look at below comment once again as I found below comment of other person who already experienced same Fatal error.

: I was missing this thing: When you get the device-profile.xml file from Samsung, read the email completely, it also contains a password. You need this password for device-profile.xml instead of your own created author password (which is used in case of authr.crt).

       https://developer.tizen.org/forums/native-application-development/cannot....

I wish this will help you.

Łukasz Grabiec
Already checked, password is correct, even created new cert to be sure - no success. When password is invalid the is popup with this information. From my experience cert issues generate fatal error 22, not 61 what we have here.
daniel kim

Hi,

If you upload logs here, we can check it together.

Regards,

daniel kim

Hi,

I could make same error message while installing native sample after I remove device-profile.xml which is under /home/developer of device.

So you need right-click your device in connection explorer and select "permit to all applications" menu inside to transfer device-profile.xml into device.

[Installing the package...]
     Uninstalling the package...
 path is /opt/usr/apps/tmp/org.tizen.basicuiedc-1.0.0-arm.tpk
 start process (install)
 .
 error : 0

end process (fail)
 processing result : FATAL_ERROR [61] failed
spend time for pkgcmd is [3348]ms
 cmd_ret:61
 (10.31 sec)

I wish this will help you.

Configuring a Tizen device for testing

http://dbrgamestudio.com/configuring-tizen-device-for-testing/

Oleg Urzhumtsev

Updated my M0 (RD-PQ, GT-i9300) to Tizen 2.3.

I only can confirm the issue with WiFi -- cannot connect to any networks. I tried three open networks and two WPA2-encrypted.

It also supports WPS, but I never had experience with it. The phone shows some broken dialog, if I manage to press anything, it asks me to set up a password on a router. It does not work either.

wpa_supplicant is present in firmware:

sh-4.1# wpa_supp.sh start
1429553678.289428: Failed to initialize wpa_supplicant
sh-4.1# wpa_supp.sh stop
/usr/sbin/wpa_supp.sh: line 26: /bin/usleep: No such file or directory
sh-4.1# wpa_supp.sh start

What steps should I do? Almost no information on the device.

Oleg Urzhumtsev

Rolled back to 2.2.1 (with downgrading the bootloader), the WiFi works successfully.

So that's 2.3 problem, but I have no idea how to debug it.

John Ixion

Hi Oleg

I would recommend the Dev mailing list for this

https://www.tizen.org/community/mailing-lists

Marsel Taipov

Oleg,

Could you share how you downgraded to 2.2.1 ?

I've tried to flash 2.2.1 but lthor stopped during uploading uImage and the device doesn't boot just shows "Tizen" logo.

Marco Buettner
  1. Download 2.2.1 reverted bootloader -> http://download.tizen.org/releases/2.3/2.3-mobile/bootloader/
  2. Flash the 2.2.1 reverted bootloader via lthor
  3. flash 2.2.1 Firmware (including the bootloader) -> https://wiki.tizen.org/wiki/Flash_Tizen_2.2.1_Image_to_Reference_Device

Marsel Taipov

Marco,

Thank you very much! It worked for me.

Marco Buettner

np (: I have to do it also sometimes =D

Marco Buettner

I have never seen a Tizen 2.4 version on the prerelease folder =)
