Store certification time.....Will it continue on weekend?
Hi,

I submitted a 3D game application to the store this Thursday night, I will register the game for the challenge while the app is in certification process.

I read in this forum that some people obtained their certification in one day, the whole Friday is done by now and the app is still under the validation status 'In Process'. I know that it will take until 3 days to obtain the certification, but I don't know if this process will continue on weekends, which I hope it will.

Can someone with more knowledge in this process clarify this?

Thanks in advance.

No on weekend the process "sleep"

Normally, no work during weekend  I got certified in one day recently during week days.

The good news that Monday maybe the last certification day and not Sunday. The certification is happening in east (maybe India or Korea) while the challenge is running under USA law and timezone (Linux Foundation) due to time difference

Oh no!

Thanks for your replies. I hope that the process will continue on Monday, otherwise a lot of people will be out of the contest 'cause of this, even if they submitted before deadline.

I read some post here wondering the same, others with problems with the certification that probably submitted on Friday or today again.  Since it is difficult to estimate a time frame to obtain the certification because the priority is to submit a functional application and probably you will need until the last day and no before, with the time needed for the certification you need to subtract those days from the total time of the contest and the number of those days varies from one to another, it would have been better if the rules were that the maximum date to submit is December 8th, maybe one week to obtain the certification for the remaining apps that didn't obtained it before, and then the time needed for the judges. That way it would have been better.

Hi Cayeya,

I believe the Tizen people have been very accommodating to us developers, and on the whole pretty responsive. I also think that because Tizen is a new technology and that there's a dearth of available devices with which to test the apps we're developing for the Tizen platform, that the Tizen App Challenge guys and gals will be understanding of our anxieties, especially making it to the App Challenge.

Because of my professional commitments (I'm a developer consultant), I have been able only lately to work on my Tizen app for the Tizen App Challenge. I'll be submitting ONLY tonight, hoping that the Tizen store reviewers/engineers will be working doubly hard just like us to help us get our app entries included for the App Challenge.

Goog luck Cayeya, and thanks to the Tizen staff in advance.

Sorry but the contest was long enough and it on all documents of the TizenStore said that if can be max. 3 days ... And only automatic tests running all time... but device tests by people runs only MONDAY - FRIDAY... For different times for the certification it can be many reasons... Less apps to test, not so complexe apps etc.

And if you read careful the User Guide of TizenStore u should know that application will also test in usability issues and reference to the Tizen Guideline which you find here.

Also the contest was extended for a month, so I have no mercy for people who comes to late!!! I have finish all my apps for the old deadline!!! I worked very hard, monday to sunday more than 4-5 hrs per day... to finish and than 2 days before the deadline reached... I hear that the deadline was extend without a real reason today... So... Sorry... I have no mercy...

Hi Marco,

I understand  your point, especially when you've worked really hard to finish your app to meet the deadline set earlier.

As for the announcement today about the deadline being extended, this is the first time I've heard about it. Can you point to any Web or news article about the announcement. Will appreciate any feedback on this.

Good luck,
Oscar

Marco is right, this is endless.

Unity3d developers were hoping to get the Tizen export module before the deadline. So, if it happens and they extend the deadline again I won't be surprised but I doubt it. I have never witnessed the extension twice of any challenge!

If you have developed a game with these ( marmalade , cocos-2d or game maker) , you can participate in other challenges.

However, I believe all apps will be certified by Monday.
