Z300F is not my device... user tried few experiments after malfunction...

This device is not THOR enabled...

Download Mode is for ODIN...

So TM1 Firmware failed...

How to repair SM-Z300F ?

I'm asking for someone else.

He did "experiments" after malfunction... because Z300F Firmware seems not available.

Actual status is:

Could not do normal boot

After he forced TM1 Wayland ... from prerelease folder...

Flash was successfully... but Z300F not start with TM1 Wayland...

So only sboot.bin is alive from Z300F... all other files are wrong now...

I thought Z300F is test/reference for Europe... so it is more sample .. pre commercial.

Hello everyone!

I have SM300F from russian Linuxcenter.ru

it has tizen 2.4.0.2 Z300FXXU1AOK9

and it says Device status -> Official, KNOX Tizen version->KNOX 1.0.0, standard SDK 1.0.0, SE for tizen 1.0.0 (whatever it means).

There are some issues with the device, but it works good, more or less.

It has issues withe the Wi-Fi access point - when it is on, battery power comes out like Niagara waterfall. I watched Youtube video for almost 2 hours, the phone got real hot and battery died from 70% down to 5%. From 5% to 0% it came in 1 minute or less, really immediately.

Sometimes GSM network gets lost, widgets fet lost from pages voluntarily. There ARE issues. They can be solved i believe if i get in touch with the developers.

But, after more than 1 week of using the device, I want to use it more and more. I started to learn Tizen SDK, i feel this thing is quite suitable for industry automation which i work for. I'd like to make something like svg scada client or ldap-syncronized (active directory) contacts etc.

For now I lack only telegram messenger, GPS things like geotracker etc. Most of all works nice from the internet browser - i used HereMaps, Bank client and they work ok. 

Screen widgets are hell to use, actually they live by themselves and behave strangely.

The main drawback is the battery. Samsung says it can work for ages, but it's a fake, it really does NOT. I can prove it.

I thought BPD4 is also for SM-Z300F available... with Tizen 2.4.0.3...

Z300FXXU1BPD4 is posted few months ago as Tizen 2.4.0.3 ...

Something wrong? They gave me and piece of shit? Tha is why my battery is crazy? I have to put them to jail? LOL. That doesn't work in Russia. And i'm happy with what i've bought. So everything is ok i think!

Are you able to update Firmware?

Settings ---> About device ---> Software update

Only to be sure, That 2015 Firmware is not latest.

Old User Manual is still online...

NO idea if you only got SM-Z300F in "Retail Box" with Manuals... or other Paper/Docs... or CD or any kind of accessory... Headset...

Is for instance Kies 3 or Smart Switch Tool able to detect your device and maybe find Update...

No idea if other Tools required...

I really know nearly nothing about this device... all infos are sooo top secret as it seems...

These are the only Firmware files leaked...

And I was not able to download them as only on paid site...

So I have really ZERO ideas what is really installed on SM-Z300F... If Tizen Store App is inside... like known from SM-Z300H, SM-Z130H, SM-Z200F and Y...

Or Top Secret Special Store...  only for biz...

As I know, Z300F is for Russia B2B/B2G business.

Therefore we don't get it at any retail shop.

Still no luck to find downloadable Firmware...
