Emulator not working Windows 10

I'm using Tizen Studio 1.0.1 on Windows 10. i5 Kabylake processor.
Emulator is not getting booted up. It stucks at a black screen and doesn't proceed further.
Any ideas?
Internet search doesn't seem to be much helpful.

I have never heard of i5 Kabylake... need some Google Research...

Black Screen...

At the moment I can not find recent HAXM posts... as this is Intel specific...

I can remember somebody wrote about Settings in BIOS... if Notebook... or something in this Direction...

Got the same problem.

Best way is to disable Hyper-V BEFORE installation the Tizen studio

And how does that help? How to do that?

Emulator manager doen't install unless HAXM is installed and HAXM doesn't install until Hyper-V enabled!

Tried all possibilities and combinations of GPU/CPU VT ON/OFF as suggested here: https://developer.tizen.org/forums/tizen-.net/emulator-not-working-black-screen

Still no luck!

Also facing same problem with Emulator bundled with VS-preview as well.

Is this Windows 10 specific issue???

As my other friend gets similar issue with Win 10.

This is frustrating. :(

Tizen is the biggest joke on the planet!

Still no solution for emulator.

I've been having the same problem and have not yet found the solution. Here's what I'm seeing:

Running Windows 10 Home version on Dell Inspiron with i7. Tizen wearable emulator does not work when CPU VT is on. When CPU VT is off, the emulator works but runs very slowly.

I have tried everything in the documention here:

    https://developer.tizen.org/development/tizen-studio/download/installing-tizen-studio/hardware-accelerated-execution-manager

Including:

  • Make sure VT is enabled in BIOS.
  • Make sure Execute Disable Bit is enabled in BIOS.
  • Make sure Data Execution Prevention is enabled in Windows®. On the Windows® platform, click Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Advanced tab > Performance section, Options (or Settings), and Data Execution Prevention. Make sure that DEP is enabled.
  • Make sure that Hyper-V is disabled (on Windows® 8 or after)

It seems that Hyper-V role cannot be installed on Windows 10 Home, so I can't tell if this is a problem or not. I also cannot find the Execute Disable Bit in the BIOS.

So I'm stuck. Maybe I need to upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise or Professional. If it were free, I would try it. But I don't have a strong reason to believe it will work and it's not free.

Anyone else solve this one?

Thanks.
