Cannot install helloAccessory widget on Galaxy Gear 1

Hi All

I have followed http://img-developer.samsung.com/contents/cmm/SamsungGearApplication_GettingStarted_1.0.pdf to generate apk along with wgt inside its assets folder. However, no widget is found in Geart Manager on my host device after apk installation is done.

Any idea?

I have the same problem, anyone installed the sample application on Gear1?

I'm installing the apk on the host (which is android) so that should work fine. and according to the guide, as soon as the apk is installed, it sends the wgt to the gear and let it install there. Also in the guide, they do not specifically say for which model it applies... they just say "Gear", so I am assuming their guide is not restricted to Gear 2.

Gear 1 is Android device and you cannot install wgt.

Penny dropped. But, how can I develop on gear 1? Probably just write a simple HelloWorld app?
