i am an Android developer, not quite familiar with Gear2. I wonder is it possible to connect my Nexus7 or HuaWei Mate with Gear2 ? Is it only the Samsung phone can connect with Gear2? If someone knows the answer, please tell me ! Great thx : )

Gear S2 can connect non- samsung android phone. Please visit below link which has necessary information.

my sansung watch is R380, can it do connect non-samsung android phone? are they same ?

Hi,

Gear 2 can connect Samsung android phone only. so it won't connect to your phone for now.

Hello,

Samsung Gear2 and Gear 2 Neo are currently compatible with devices that meet the following criteria:

- Samsung manufacturing

- Android version 4.3, Jelly Bean or higher
- WVGA or higher screen resolution
- 1.5GB or higher memory
