I would like to understand how GenerateKeyEvent works. What all components, services, objects are involved in from genrating the key till reaches the application. Any idea or pointers on this?

Would you also please let me know where I can find the implementation source code of GenrateKeyEvent. This is needed to understand how the key event is finally injected into the system and through whom.
