Running Tizen webapp on Gear S without Installing certificates
Hello, I am developing Integrated webapp for Tizen Gear S (Android App is Provider App and Gear S app is Consumer App). For testing the device on Gear S, I first need to install the certificates in the Gear S device and then only I am able to install the app and test it. I would like to know, is there a way that I can install the app on Gear S without installing the certificates ? Whenever I reset my device, I have to reinstall the certificates. Also, I can install any app from Gear Manager without installing the certificates for Gear S. Is the certificate check "skipped" when we download the app from Gear Manager ?

Hello,

There isn`t way to install app on device without certificate due security reason.

Hello, Thanks for the information. So, once the app is available on Gear Manager, the certificate is automatically generated. Is this the behavior ?

Hi,

Once you've installed your certificate into Gear S using "permit to install application", you can find certicate file in below folder of Gear S.

   /home/developer/certificate-registration.xml

So you don't need to install it again after reboot it.

 

I guess that you've activated different profile in your security profile of IDE.

   Window--> Preferences --> Tizen SDK --> Security Profiles

So I suggest you to check which one is active.

Hi, Yes, You are correct. Once the certificate is installed, there is no need to install it again on reboot. But if I reset the Gear, I have to install the certificates again. And every time I pair the Gear with different Android device, it resets.
