Supported devices shown in Seller office is only 14 out of 18

I have an existing native mobile app (ScreenLock) and upcoming app (native).

I am using API version 2.3.1 for both the apps. (Specified in Manifest file)

Seller office is showing only 14 devices as supported out of 18.

Which excludes new Z4 devices.

However if I try to upload .wgt app to check, it supports all the 18 devices!

Isn't 3.0 backward compatible?

Should I add some specific code to support Tizen 3.0 version (Z4)?

I want my app to be supporting all the versions, 2.3,2.4, and 3.0. So that I could cover all the devices.

Thanks in advance.

From Seller office:

Just a guess, but I believe the Z4 is a 64-bit device, so you might have to provide 64-bit binaries as well...

This is BS...

SM-Z400F has same 32 bit CPU like SM-Z200F...

How can 32 bit Spreadtrum SC9830 run 64 bit OS?

The Reference Device TM2 is 64 bit CPU from Samsung which can run 64 bit Version of Tizen 3.x and 4.x... look here:

http://download.tizen.org/prerelease/tizen/unified/

I have NO idea why "he" spread such no.se.se...

And really perfect harmony... 64 bit stuff with huge amount of RAM...

again 1 GB..

:)

Sorry, but I find your choice of words quite offensive.

A recent article on tizenexperts.com ("Samsung Z4 Hands On: The first look at the Tizen 3.0 mobile") does mention "probably due to the marriage of 64-bit hardware and a 64-bit OS" and I did say "just a guess" and "I believe". There really was no need to get abusive.

Peter Wegner

It is not against you.

I know this is from Tizen Expert...

IMHO it is wrong. not correct...

Need to be checked again... maybe with open eyes.

:)

Sorry.

If SC9830i

Where we can find the info about 64 bit support?

Simple Google search... if SM-Z400F Firmware is not allowed to analyze...

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=processor&id=687&c=spreadtrum_sc9830i

No idea how many variants of this Chip exists... but also

SC9830a

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=processor&id=654&c=spreadtrum_sc9830a

Please, maybe I am totally wrong because I am blind old and dumb...

:)

Also in Firmware there are no visible parts about 64 bit support... to me...

But again, maybe I did mistake and I am wrong and SM-Z200F runs 64 bit Tizen 2.4.

Problem won't get fixed automatically it seems.

Still Z4 not supported. And no proper reply from officials on how to fix this. :(

No option in seller office to fix it manually! Z4 just won't show up. Disgusting...

My feelings about Tizen are getting stroger every day! Tizen su*ks! :X.

Native app (Z4 not supported?): http://www.tizenstore.com/main/getDetail.as?contentId=000000091441

Web app (Z4 supported!): http://www.tizenstore.com/main/getDetail.as?contentId=000000088801

How do I fix this?

Hello Vikram Dattu,

I am hitting you my findings, take a look if it helps.

As you are developing Screen Lock app, Are you using device_display_change_state() function?

Link: https://developer.tizen.org/development/api-references/native-application?redirect=https://developer.tizen.org/dev-guide/3.0.0/org.tizen.native.mobile.apireference/group__CAPI__SYSTEM__DEVICE__DISPLAY__MODULE.html#gafa467faf59d731b5cf9803c8e61b4fec

If this is the case then, There is a chance that the list is not showing the devices on Tizen 3.0 as the Native API function used is deprecated.

Vikram Dattu

Can we please have a system in seller office which notifies developer about this?

A warning stating use of deprecated API along with list of such used apis etc? So that developer could modify the code accordingly and update the app!

Current system is playing in blank! And I don't know what's happening. :(
