Firmware upgrade to 2.2.1 fails

BY 08 Jan 2014 SDK & IDE

Hi,

I am trying to update my PD test device (I think it’s based on the Galaxy S3) from Tizen 2.0 to 2.2.1 (latest version from 8th Nov. 2013). The phone is in download mode and shows that a “cable is connected”. But lthor fails with this message:

user@ubuntu:~/Desktop/tizen$ lthor ./tizen-2.2_20131107.3_RD-PQ-REF.tar.gz

Linux Thor downloader, version 1.4

Make sure phone(device) should be in a download mode
before connecting phone to PC with USB cable.
(How to enter download mode : press <volume-down> + <power> key)

I am using Ubuntu 32 bit, 12.04 LTS. I also tried to restart Ubuntu and the phone but the error remains. How can I fix this?

Regards,
