I have a Windows Vista 64 Bit OS, 4 GB RAM, Intel Core 2 Duo with Virtualization turned on, HAXM installed and running with 2 GB RAM allocated, the SDK installed properly and everything.

Though, whenever I try to run the emulator, it takes almost 10 minutes to boot up, and then runs incredibly slowly, with the icons in the emulator sometimes not working at all. Other times, it’ll never boot up, even after hours. Is there anything I can do to remedy this, or perhaps an alternative to the emulator? The emulator manager runs just fine; Its the actual emulator with the issue.
