Multimedia features capture and play or display still images, video, and sounds.

The main multimedia features are:

• Audio I/O

  Enables you to record and play uncompressed PCM audio data.

  Enables you to view and process (decode, encode, convert, and compress) bitmap images in the JPEG format.

  Enables you to use media tools to manage various media handles.

• Metadata Extractor

  Enables you to extract metadata from the media files.

• Player

  Enables you to play audio and manage the state of the media player.

• Radio

  Enables you to control the radio hardware on your system.

• Recorder

  Enables you to record audio data to a file with compressed or uncompressed format and generate compressed video files with video data from camera and audio data from audio input device.

• Tone Player

  Enables you to play tones.

• WAV Player

  Enables you to play WAV files.

• Sound Manager

  Enables you to control the audio behavior of your application.
