Tizengram, Instagram*-Style Camera App From Japan
Tizengram is an application based on HTML5 that was introduced during the Tizen Developer Lab hosted by Intel in Japan. This open source camera-based application that relies on HTML5 APIs for the Tizen device was made by the developer Satoru Hashimoto.   Just like Instagram, Tizengram enhances the photo processing features of the smartphone's camera with a range of effects such as Retro, Vintage, Sepia and Greenish. Results of the photo editing application created with Tizen SDK 2.2 can then be shared to social networking sites such as Twitter.

Running Node.JS on Tizen 2.0
Node.JS is increasingly popular within the robotics community. A quick search on google or youtube brings up multiple nodecopters, and johnny-five implementations. A lot of these have node.js running on a smaller processor and not the original data center server where node.js is traditionally installed. As I was browsing the download site looking to upgrade my SDP to Tizen 2.2 , I happened upon a set of rpm files  and thought I'd try my luck at running some of them. After a few false starts I present here a method of getting node.js running on Tizen 2.0, including the tweaks you need to get npm, the node package manager working as well.

Unlock Your Inner Badge Appeal During the Tizen App Challenge
Developers, maybe more than any other profession (celebrities being the exception), live and die by their reputation. In the case of app developers, they live and die by the quality of their code and the resulting success of their app. The opportunity to gain visibility and secure a foothold by being one of the first to enter the Tizen market is a big one; in fact, it’s a $4M opportunity. And, if you’re an HTML5 developer, you really should be involved. Tizen is the highest ranked platform for HTML5 on HTML5test.com During the Tizen App Challenge there is one way to let people know your reputation and cred is building as you’re building apps for this promising platform: the Tizen App Challenge badges.

Content Security Framework
The Tizen Security Team would like to announce the contribution of the Content Security Framework from McAfee.  Everyone understands that mobile security threats are growing in both numbers and sophistication.  We believe it is essential that Tizen includes measures to combat malware as part of the basis of the platform.  McAfee is delighted to contribute the Content Security Framework to the Tizen Open Source project that will enable not only McAfee, but also other ecosystem members to provide a secure mobile experience to Tizen users. This framework is available for developers to access in the git project at framework/security/csr-framework.  This repository includes source code, a test suite and documentation about the framework.  It is also available as pre-built rpm packages here:http://download.tizen.org/live/Devel:/2.0:/Security/standard
