TIZEN.NET Announcement
TIZEN joins the .NET Family enabling C# developers to build apps for millions of Samsung devices. Samsung has been working on .NET support for the open source TIZEN operating system, used in 50 million devices around the world. Today, Samsung is releasing a preview of TIZEN’s .NET support which enables C# developers to build apps for TVs, wearables, mobile, and many other IoT devices. TIZEN’s .NET support includes Xamarin.Forms as a main UI framework which empowers Xamarin developers to build TIZEN apps with their core skill sets. Samsung is also releasing a preview of TIZEN SDK for Visual Studio which provides device emulators and a plug-in to Visual Studio with full IntelliSense and debugging support. TIZEN’s .NET Support and SDK will be officially released and shipping on devices in 2017. Developers will be able to use familiar tools such as Visual Studio to develop TIZEN apps while using TIZEN's app store for distribution. 03 Nov 2016 17:59
Tizen Studio 1.0 Launching!
On September 1, 2016, the Tizen SDK makes a new beginning as Tizen Studio 1.0. Now you can select the necessary platform and profiles, and experience a fast and stable development environment and new UX and UI by installing the Tizen Studio. Applications for the newly released Gear S3 can be developed with Tizen Studio 1.0. The existing Tizen SDK was released in accordance with the Tizen platform version. Since there was 1 SDK program for each platform, you had to install several SDK programs to develop for several platforms. Supporting Tizen 2.3.1 SDK Will End Soon
Tizen 2.3.1 SDK will be no more supported soon. Before Tizen 2.4 SDK, each version of SDK released only for the same version of Tizen platform. However, Tizen 2.4 SDK contains all the features of Tizen 2.3.1 platform as well as Tizen 2.4 platform.
